  1. Very sorry to hear that George passed. I always enjoyed seeing him in the store and having good conversation relating to current events. (mostly political..) He will be missed..

  2. Where do I begin – he was the most caring and laid back gentleman. I remember taking over babysitting for you after my sister’s (Gwen) reign was over on Branch Street. Your mom kept your dad in line with the sweetest smile after her scolding him. A beautiful match made in heaven. Whenever I think or saw George my mind always returned to the Philharmonic Christmas Concert when I sat behind your mom and dad, when the concert was finished he got up helped your mom up and gave her a kiss on the check with a huge grin took her hand and patted it as they grinned at each other and walked hand and hand out of the concert the last time I saw them together. A memory that their love for each other through thick and thin never wavered. He was always so proud of each and everyone of you! I am truly honored to have been able to be apart of George’s life. I can see the beautiful reunion of your mom and dad in heaven! May God Bless!

  4. My wife Sarah and I send our deepest condolences to the entire Schuster family.
George was a one-in-a-million man! He was a smiling friend to literally all he met. When I was playing high school football in the early ‘70s, George was Livonia’s most faithful fan. It meant so much to me and the other players that we could count on the loyal support of a universally known graduate of Livonia. His very presence made us feel good about ourselves. His love of the game lives on in the rest of the family! Livonia’s loss is Heaven’s gain.

  5. We are so sorry to hear about Dad. Both George and Joan were so welcoming to us when we came to Livonia. We remember the float decorating in his barn. He always had something positive to say when we saw him. You all can be so proud of him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

  18. To the Schuster Family,
We had the honor of meeting and getting to know George through his weekly visits to our farm to drop off his hay for our minis.
George, always the gentleman would give a fond hug or hand shake and have a few sound words of advice or shared caring thoughts and always asked about those that were not present on his visits to our farm. He would say, “Okay now, give Mike a hello from me…gotta run”, and he was always so cheerful and so proud of his kids and grandkids.
He would let us know when his son was refereeing at NFL games and to make sure we watched the game (and we did George).
He loved it when we took him into the barn to meet the new foals on the ground every spring. He proudly introduced us to his grandsons who came to help deliver the hay. He loved his family so.
George, you brightened our days every time you came by, and you will be missed greatly by all of us.
May the Schusters find comfort in the knowledge that there are so many of us who will fondly remember your dad and grand dad and how he touched our lives in meaningful ways.
    Godspeed George with love,
    The Robison Family
