Ella Mae Yatteau “Ellie” (Lauffer) – May 11, 2017

Hemlock/Corning: Peacefully on May 11, 2017, at age 80 years, with family by her side. Predeceased by her parents Herbert & Dorothy Oliver, her husband Robert T. Yatteau, her siblings; Marleah Butler, Carl Oliver, Betty Johnson, and Dorothy Hall. Survived by her son Daniel (Donna) Lauffer of Bath; grandchildren; Danielle (Brandon) Zettl, Jason King, Adam (Melissa) King, Chelsea (Nick) Xidis, and Nikki (Justin) Casagrande; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Eva, Sarah, Darbi, and Maryn; siblings, Kenneth (Joyce) Oliver and Marion Smoot. Also survived by many nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews, and many friends including her dear friend Melissa Carey.

Ella Mae “Ellie” was born on January 1, 1937 in Watkins Glen, NY to parents Herbert & Dorothy Oliver, the youngest of 7 children. Ellie was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved animals especially her horses and she was still riding into her 70’s. Ellie loved music and enjoyed playing keyboard, piano, organ, and accordion. She was a talented musician and was self taught. Ellie was dedicated to her husband Bob throughout their marriage.

Friends may call on Wednesday, May 17th, from 12noon-2pm at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 21 Big Tree Street, Rte 15 & 20A, Livonia, where her funeral service will follow calling hours at 2pm. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Livonia. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Ellie’s memory to Elim Gospel Church, 1679 Dalton Road, Lima, NY 14485.   1. Ellie my dearest love ,I miss you terribly Glad your with Bob now to take care of you .
    Hope I am able to get there ,when it’s my turn Talk to you all the time ,hope you hear
    me , Glad I got to see you before you went to see the Lord .I know you seen and heard me .And when you kissed me I knew .You for me and me for you forever
    Love you Ellie forever and ever . .You know why I won’t be at the funeral ,but will visit
    you at the cemetery often .
