Ronald P. Cracco “Ron” “Coach” – October 18, 2012

scan0030_cropLivonia: Passed away unexpectedly at his home on October 18, 2012 at 70 yrs of age. Predeceased by his parents Ettore and Elide Cracco. Survived by his devoted wife Kay.

He will be remembered as an outstanding social studies teacher of over 40 yrs. at Caledonia-Mumford Central School earning numerous teacher of the year awards along with being the varsity baseball coach with many championship seasons. Ron graduated from high school in Woonsocket, Rhode Island and earned a Bachelor and Masters Degrees from Ricker College and Clark University.

Ron’s family will received friends on Tuesday October 23, 2012 from 4-8pm at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 21 Big Tree St., Rte 15 &20A, Livonia, NY. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 24, at 10 am at St. Matthew Church, 6591 Richmond Mills Rd., Rte 20A, in Livonia followed by a reception at the church. Fr. John Hayes will be the celebrant. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Livonia Ambulance, PO Box 8, Livonia, NY or St. Matthew Building Fund, PO Box 77, Livonia, NY 14487.   1. Kay, I was so saddened upon hearing of Ron’s sudden death. Always enjoyed meeting him and talking politics with him. I am just betting that he and John are right up there talking about RI, the Boston Red Sox, and certainly the Democrats. My grandchildren loved having Ron as their sub and they are devastated. God Bless, Kay, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
