Virginia G. Ashmead, 75 years, of Canandaigua, formerly of Greece and Honeoye,died May 16, 2012 at the Hospeace House in Naples, NY. She was born in Rochester, NY, July 11, 1936 the daughter of Carlton and Dorothy Herm Gould. She served as an elder in the Greece Presbyterian Church, belonged to the Greece Choral Society, and the Fingerlakes Choral Society. Virginia sang solos in many area churches. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of East Bloomfield. Predeceased by her son, Jamie & and daughter-in-law, Jean. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Thomas G. Ashmead. Her children, Thomas Ashmead of NV., Richard Ashmead of Honeoye, John Ashmead of Ovid, Robert (Barbara) Ashmead of Honeoye. 6 grandchildren.
