  1. I’m shocked and saddened at the loss of a best friend. Randy was like a brother–quick to lash out and slow to take advice; but, always displaying a big smile and a warm heart. As our mutual friend, Rob, said: “Randy was the gold standard for comedy. ” He was the class clown, for sure, but sometimes the sad clown who would cry over the opportunities he thinks he passed up. Thank God we didn’t miss the opportunity to party with, laugh with and, one more time, cry with Doo-Ran.

  2. To the Clements family, we are very sorry for your loss and for Livonia’s lost. Randy was a great friend to all in Livonia. He made everyone laugh and made everyone feel welcomed. His stories were the best.

  8. Clements Family – Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I remember meeting Duran and Tom (Dirt/Unkie) on the 3rd of July for the first time at my father’s house when I was 12. They showed up for my sister (Laurie) and we weren’t sure about either of them! Dad seemed to favor Duran. 🙂 We had no idea how much love, laughter, and good times would follow with all of you, thanks to Tom & Laurie. 32+ years later we are thankful our kids have had the same opportunity. The first time our kids met Duran they just stared, confused by how someone could sound and act so much like their Unkie (Tom), but giggled the entire time anyway until he said – “Hey come here!” We will miss him and we are sorry for your loss.
    With Deepest Sympathy –

There just isn’t anything we can say to ease the hurt….. We were so sad when we heard. I loved the conversations I had with Duran at the Inn. His smile was quite infectious. Mark looked forward to meeting up with him on occasion up there so the two of them could converse and “solve all of the world’s problems” and pick their fantasy football teams. He will certainly be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

  24. Dear Clements Family,
There are no words to express our sorrow for your loss. We will have fond memories of DooRan. May you all find peace, Love, Don and Janice Hyde

  25. DuRan was a one of a kind. Always loved to tell a good joke. Two things about joke telling I learned from him. 1) always tell someone the truth that their joke was good or was bad !
    2) if he laughed hard or liked your joke, he would confirm parts to make sure he heard it right as it was often loud around you and him (it made you feel good because it felt like he was adding it to his archive.)
Anyway, great man who loved his family and his hometown. He will be missed. Prayers for the loved ones he has left behind.

  26. We want to share our deepest sympathies to the whole family. We will miss Randy and his always smiling face. He must be entertaining all of the angels now!
