Ossian/Wayland: April 7, 2018 at age 73. Predeceased by his parents Louis and Betty Waden and his step mother Janice Waden. Survived by his wife of 20 years, Laura Lee Waden; children; Ronald Waden of Dansville, Brett (Laurie) Waden of Henrietta, and Keith (Cindy) Waden of OH; 5 grandchildren; brother James (Patricia) Waden of Livonia, aunt Esther Sharpe of Conesus, brothers-in-law Robert (Christine) Whiteman Sr., Gary (Patti) Whiteman, Rick (Tina) Whiteman, sister-in-law Sondra (Shawn) Harington, several nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Roger was born on November 14, 1944 in Rochester, NY to parent Louis and Betty Waden. He was a graduate of Livonia High School and later worked at Kodak, drove truck for the Agway in Dansville, and in later years worked for the Democrat & Chronicle. In his early years he enjoyed working with horses and belonged to a club in the Livonia area. He loved Nascar and his favorite driver was always Dale Earnhardt Jr. Roger was a sports fan and especially enjoyed watching Alabama College Football.
Friends may call on Tuesday, April 10th, from 4-7pm at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 21 Big Tree Street, Rte 15 & 20A, Livonia, where his funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 11th, at 10am. Burial to follow at Arnold Cemetery, Conesus. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 160 Allens Creek Rd., Rochester, NY 14618.
