Dundee, NY: At age 78, Bernie passed away at home on Thursday, January 12, 2023. Bernie was born in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico to the late Bernaber and Antonia Troche -Surita. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Sonia; daughter, Sadie (John) Choffin; son, Bernie (Lynn) Surita; grandchildren, Michael, Rachel (Rico), Jonah, Sofia, Dj, Nathaniel, Arianna and Catalina; greatgrandchild, Elena, along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
Bernie lived a life that family was everything to him. He was a NYS Licensed Engineer for many years at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center until his retirement.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, January 18th, 2023 from 11am-12noon at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc, 21 Big Tree Street, Rte 15 & 20A, Livonia, where his funeral service will be held at 12noon, following calling hours.
