Avon: Matthew T. R. Kessler, from Avon, New York, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at the age of 26.
He is predeceased by daughter Olivia, survived by his mother Kathy, father Ken; sisters Rebecca (Matt Gascon) Kessler, Christine (Jason) Klein, Suzanne (Josh) Chubb, Nicole (Jon) Belec, Shannon Roberts, Courtney Grabowski, brother Travis Snyder, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
After graduating from Avon High School in 2013, Matt served in the United States Marines for five years and achieved an E-4 Corporal status.
Most recently he has been traveling all over the country working as a wind turbine technician. He loved the places he saw and the people he met along the way. He could be best described as a waterfall chaser and had the pictures to prove it. Matt’s life story will be shared during a celebration of life on Thursday, March 31 from 4-7pm at the American Legion located at 2475 NY-65 in Bloomfield, NY. So very shocked and sad to hear of Matthew’s passing. His beaming smile and twinkle in his eyes lit up my heart during kindergarten He was so gentle and loving Thought of him frequently. My deepest sympathy goes out to his friends and family.
Since i was 9 years old, matt was my closest friend…Growing up my biggest dream was to fly, so for my 20th birthday he flew down to see me and surprised me with a helicopter flight over the city… he truly had the biggest heart… I will miss him
