Lynn E. Delaney “JD” – December 18, 2021

Livonia: At age 82, Lynn passed peacefully on December 18, 2021, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, NY. He was born on April 23, 1939 in South Livonia to the late Arthur and Marian (Holmes) Delaney. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings; Helen Morrison, James “Bud” Delaney, Donald Delaney and Jesse Wackerman.  Survived by the love of his life Kathleen Keesler; children; Tracy (Bill) Henry Jr. of Conesus, Darcy (David) Long of Kentucky, Johnny Lynn (Sharlene) Delaney of Idaho, and Bethany Palmer of LeRoy; grandchildren; Anji Camacho, Bill Henry III (Alicia Ryan), Emily Henry (Ben Mills), Evan (Nicole) Hastie, Seth (Monica) Hastie, Amber (Colin) Weymer, Megan (Nick) Johnson, Bianca Gregory; also survived by ten great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

Lynn served in the United States Army. He worked and retired as a brick mason. The family home in South Livonia is where he set up his shop, “JD’s Tired Iron” to follow his passion for motorcycles. His talent for stripping down and rebuilding a Harley Davidson to its original glory (+/- some tweaks) was unsurpassed. Each bike encapsulated the man that he was. Lynn rode on the rough and wild side at times, but he was always centered by his love for his family and lifelong friends.  Sadly, the end of a legend has come. You will be forever missed, My Dear.

A private graveside service, with military honors, will be held for the family at Oak Ridge Cemetery, South Livonia, NY. On Saturday, June 25, 2022 a Gathering to Celebrate Lynn’s life will be held from 1-4pm at the Ricky Green Park, Rte 15, Conesus, NY, all are welcome.  Memorial contributions may be made in Lynn’s memory to the Livonia Ambulance, PO Box 8, Livonia, NY 14487. 1. JD rode proudly as an original Hacker. His California HA colors were displayed in his first shop. He rode with Dave and Tony Cottone and the rest of “the crew”. Now they’re all again ridding their old panheads in the sky. I was about 16 when I really got to know Lynn. My Harley K-Model broke down on front of his house. The chain broke… he came out with a repair link and a gas can and fixed the chain and topped off my tank, refusing to take any money. I kept that link on my key chain until a few years ago when it vanished [I’m 70 now]. The last time I saw Lynn was at the Halloween party two years ago. Lynn was an epic human being whose passing left a void. I just heard of his passing this weekend [January 2023] .

  2. We had alot of good times on the job and off. They don,t make them like you anymore. Peace out Buddy
