Hemlock/Geneseo: At age 80, Donna passed peacefully at her home on July 25, 2021. She was born on March 24, 1941 in Honeoye Falls, NY to the late Milton and Helen (Shellman) Hollenbeck. In addition to her parents she was also predeceased by her husband Maynard H. Shepard. Survived by her daughters; Jacqueline (Randy) Blackmer of Livonia and Charlotte (Steve) Smith of Hemlock; grandchildren, Desiree (Mark) Willis, Felicia Webster (Brandon Frank), Joseph (Leah) Shepard; great-grandchildren, Caden, Bianca, and Jackson Willis, Brennon Shepard, and Henry Shepard; sister Cathy Hollenbeck; former son-in-law Jeff Webster; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Donna worked for 3M for over 30 years and Morgan Estates for 18 years. In her free time she enjoyed reading and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, July 29th, from 4-7pm at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 8624 Main Street, Rte 20A, Honeoye, NY 14471 (NOTE LOCATION.) My deepest heartfelt sympathy to Donna’s family. I knew Donna from working at Morgan Estates. She was always so kind and caring. Her goal was to work there until she turned 80! What a goal to have…working hard at caring for others.
My hope is for her family to know how much she was loved by others and know that she is in their thoughts, their prayers and most of all, their hearts. It is also my hope that the kind words and hugs from others will help soothe the place deep inside your heart where tears are born. Donna will certainly be missed.
I am so very saddened to read about Donna’s passing. She was an amazing lady!!!! I always loved seeing/chatting/waiting on Donna and Desiree at WalMart. My thoughts and prayers are with you all!!!
