  1. I will always remember the joint camping trips, climbing Watkins Glen and the sled dogs. Ruth helped us all with our ailments and took good care of uncle Alfreds terrible sunburn at Myrtle Beach along with only a little scolding
Snowmobiles, applesauce cookies, and Myrons quiet but always smiling, friendly demeanor. They lived in the house I was born in, on top of the hill on Ashley Road. Later, they moved up the street and settled in with the local wildlife. When they lived on the hill I remember joining their family to watch color TV like Gunsmoke and Walt Disney. Ruth taught piano to my brother and me. When I worked at the county I would often run into Myron at Wendy’s in Canandaigua and we would catch up on a few things. When Life throws changes lout way, it is often difficult to absorb. The past few years have been a struggle for both Ruth and Myron. May they both rest at peace. They will be missed.

  2. Our condolences to the Blackmer family. Myron & Ruth were always kind to our family. He would stop on occasion and talk about his old house which we live in. May he rest easy with Ruth.

  3. We have traveled a long way together for many years. You have always helped me when I have asked. Taking care of our father every Sunday for six years. I’m going to miss you introducing me as “this is my oldest sister “ and I would have to say “I’m his ONLY sister “ and looking at you with your grin and twinkle in your eyes. You were such a good man and the Lord needs all the good souls he can get. RIP.
    Sandy

  4. I knew Myron and the Blackmer family as his dad was my bus driver and his brother Max was a very good friend of mine. Myron married one of my former neighbors on Bald Hill. The family is ‘special’ in the Honeoye area and Myron represented them well as an honorable and community minded person. My condolences to the Blackmer family.

  5. Myron was my first landlord at the ‘Busy Bee’ Apartments on Main Street. He asked me if I had kids or pets. He told me that kids and pets wrecked havoc on apartments. He would also come to me once a year to ask me how much of a rent increase I could afford. I have VERY fond memories of his kindness, smile and the twinkle in his eye. RIP Myron….
