  4. I have to admit, this notice took my breath away. The last time I had an opportunity to speak with your mother was at your father’s funeral reception. As with most women of her generation she was doing well outwardly that day. She was such a light to the world. I still remember the confidence my mother felt as she “handed over” my brother Bill to the care of your mother. I will always remember the smile and the warmth your mother shared as we entered church on Sunday, lessons of Christian love without needing a classroom. She always had time for that little person who needed a hug. Mrs. Thomas was a true blessing to her husband, her family, her church, and the community she called home. Hugs and good feelings to each of you as you move ahead to a new journey in life.
