Marlys A. Szymanski – August 27, 2019

Livonia:  Unexpectedly on August 27, 2019 at age 38.  Predeceased by her father Theodore M. Szymanski and grandparents George & Naomi Davidson and Theodore & Helen Szymanski.  Survived by son Ayden Szymanski-Koontz and mother Sandi Szymanski.  Also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends, and her beloved dogs Pup and Squigley.

Marlys was born on Valentine’s Day 1981 in Dansville, NY to parents Theodore and Sandra (Davidson) Szymanski.  She graduated from Livonia Central School in 1999 and was very involved in the Arts including chorus, band, jazz band, musical theater, and vocal ensemble.  As a result of her musical talent she was able to perform at Carnegie Hall in the All-Eastern Choir.  Marlys also studied clarinet, piano, and dance.  She also enjoyed drawing, painting, and making jewelry.  Marlys loved the Greatful Dead and followed them around the country.  She loved many types of music and going to concerts with friends.    Marlys was the happiest when she was singing.

At the request of the family no calling hours or funeral services will be held.  A graveside service will be held at a future date.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Sandra Szymanski (for the educational fund of Ayden Szymanski-Koontz), 3920 Woodruff Road, Livonia, NY 14487.  To send a condolence or share a memory please visit:  www.doughertyfuneralhomes.com
