Estelle S. Rodman (Haefner) – August 7, 2019

Conesus:  Estelle passed peacefully on August 7, 2019 at age 104.   She was predeceased by her husband Frank W. Rodman, daughter Joanne Mills, daughter Elaine Gruber and great-grandson Trevor Mathisen.  Survived by children; David (Pat) Rodman of Conesus, Barbara Robinson of MD and Linda (Jeff) Exley of NC; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Estelle was a long time member of St Matthew Catholic Church in Livonia, NY. Married to Frank Rodman in 1938, they celebrated 65 years of marriage shortly before he passed in 2006. They raised 5 children providing a home full of love, laughter and faith.

Estelle witnessed so much in her 104 years and yet continued to keep going strong and inspiring her family flock. Her deep faith provided her with the inner fortitude to endure many trials and tribulations as well as celebrate milestones throughout her life.

Estelle influenced generations of the family clan with her example of daily workouts – riding her stationary bike or hiking up the hill behind the house and even managing some pushups. From encouraging the whole family to visit the lake house they built in the 50s to never missing a birthday card, she kept the family together. The special “cousinhood” between the many grandchildren wouldn’t be so strong without many summers spent together at the lake. At 100 she took her first motorcycle ride and every year she tried something new and exciting just to spice up life and prove that at any age you can do inspiring things!

Family and friends may call on Friday, August 9th, from 4-7pm at (NOTE LOCATION)  St. Matthew Catholic Church, 6591 Richmond Mills Road, Rte 20A, Livonia, NY where  Estelle’s Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 10th, 10:30am.  Burial Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rochester, NY.  Memorial contributions may be made in Estelle’s memory to St. Matthew Catholic Church, PO Box 77, Livonia, NY 14487.  To send a condolence or share a memory please visit:  www.doughertyfuneralhomes.com
