John Walter Forrester – April 22, 2019

 

Livonia/Dansville:  John went home to be with the Lord peacefully surrounded by his children and family on April 22, 2019 at age 74, after a brief illness.  Predeceased by his parents James and Florence (Baird) Forrester and brother Franklin Forrester.  Survived by children; Diane Lynn Forrester “Lynn” (Brian Currier) of Dansville, Ron (Joanne) Forrester of York, and Jason Forrester of Dansville; grandchildren; Zach, Hannah, and Hunter Forrester; siblings, LeRoy (Diane) Forrester of SC, Ken (Claudia) Forrester of Dansville, and Beverly Harris of Groveland. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends including special friends Diane Harris Dillon and Larry Johnson.

John was born on February 22, 1945 and attended Dansville Central School.  He left school after 9th grade to work on the family farm where he learned many skills.  He had a love of animals and loved working on the farm beside his father and brothers which was the way of the time.  John lived his life on his own terms and in his own way!  In his later years he was saved and read his Bible daily and had a great love for our Heavenly Father.  He had a tremendous love for his children and grandchildren who brought him the greatest joy.  He was very giving of his time, talents, and giving of others that he loved, especially Diane Dillon. John will be dearly missed by all that loved him.

Family and friends may call on Saturday, April 27th, from 12noon -2pm at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 21 Big Tree Street, Rte 20A, Livonia, NY where John’s Funeral Service will be held following calling hours at 2pm.  Burial will follow at Erwin Cemetery, Springwater, NY.  Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 1120 S.
