God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be.
So he put His arms around you and
He whispered, “Come with me…”
With tearful eyes we watched you
And saw you pass away
Although we loved you dearly,
We couldn’t make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.

  1. I tried to stop “Uncle Warren” at least once a year when I traveled to Honeoye. He was a great host and I always enjoyed my visit. He was great family man and had a gentle spirit. Rest in peace Warren. Mike West. PS Warren wasn’t a blood relative, but I always called him Uncle Warren.

  2. As we move along life’s journey, we are so grateful for the many mentors that we looked up to. Warren was one of those mentors that we all tried to emulate. He will always kind and thoughtful of others as well as having the best stories to tell. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his great family.

  3. Maureen, Mark, Sue andTim,

  7. Dear Families of Warren and Lorraine,
It will always be sad to think of Warren no longer guarding the big farm on the hill.
He was the poster boy for 9 decades of everything good, ethical, honest, kind, respectful of nature.
You are in our thoughts at your time of grief and loss.
The poem you dedicated to Warren, is beautiful and befitting a man of his stature.

  8. “Mr. West” was such a sweet, strong gentleman. I have such fond memories of his gentle smile when visiting his home to play with Maureen as a little girl.
