Honeoye: Alice passed peacefully on December 14, 2017, surrounded by family, at age 83. She was predeceased by her parents Charles “Ted” & Edna Trout, her brother Robert Trout, and grandson Sean Slayer. Survived by children; Guy (Darlene) Hubble of VA, David (Kathy) Hubble of Canadice, Gary (Sandy) Hubble of Honeoye, and Jacquie (Mike) Dobbertin of Honeoye; grandchildren, Cassandra (Kevin), Christina (Robert), Ryan, Shane, David Jr., Kyle, Trevor, Jessica, Troy, and Nicole; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Hank, Robert, Christopher, Ella Mae, Landon, and Madison. Also survived by her sister Pauline Young, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Alice was born on April 8, 1934 in Batavia, NY to Charles and Edna (Pontius) Trout. Alice worked as a pulmonary specialist at Genesee Hospital in Rochester, NY. When she moved her family to Honeoye she started working at Bianchi’s Deli. Later she moved on to West Surefine where she retired as a Deli Manager. Alice was definitely a people person and made many friends in town working behind the counter. Alice enjoyed arts and crafts as a hobby, which evolved into a small business called “Crafts by Alice”. Her main enjoyment was her family and friends, getting together for a good laugh and a game of Euchre. She loved to dance, especially to Neil Diamond.
Friends may call on Thursday, December 21st, from 4-7pm at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 8624 Main Street, Rte 20A, Honeoye, NY. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, December 22nd, 10:30am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 8959 Main Street, Honeoye, NY. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Alice’s memory to the Serenity House, 1278 Brace Road, Victor, NY 14564.
