Geneseo: June 15, 2016 at age 71 years after battling a long illness. Predeceased by her husband Carmen Sr., parents Edward and Bertha Swift and brother Robert Swift. Survived by her children; Angela Laughman of Mt. Morris, Doreen Sica of Mt. Morris, Judy (Tom) Burns of Alaska, Carmen (Becky) of Pavilion. Brothers; Gary (Claire) Swift of Caledonia, Lyell (Norma) Swift of Florida, Carl Swift of Virginia, Keith(Ruth) Swift of Dansville, Roger Swift of Florida, Eddie Swift of Rochester. Sisters; Linda Peri of Geneseo and Cindy (Stan) Wedekind of Oregon. Half brothers and sisters; Robert Hall, Hope Swift, Loretta Stevens, Sarah Swift Clymo, John Swift, and Richard Swift. Grandchildren; Jason Flynn (Erica) of Caledonia, Jessica Flynn (Lance) of Mt. Morris, Brian Delvalle (Erin) of Geneseo, Alex Delvalle (Amelia) of Linwood, NY, Nicole Adamson of Geneseo, Amanda Trathen (Terry) of Mt. Morris and Mary Trathen of Mt. Morris, Dakota, Gavin, Cameron Sica of Pavilion. Several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Barbara was born in Dansville, NY and was married to Carmen Sr. for 25 years. She was a long time babysitter for many children and worked at the Livingston County Nursing Home in Mt. Morris. She loved her dog “chubby”
A gathering of friends will be held on Sunday, June 19th at 1:00 pm (pavilion 4) at the Al Lorenz Park, 6 Murray Hill Drive, Mt. Morris 14510. Please bring a dish to pass. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Livingston County, P.O. Box 233, Avon, NY 14414.
