Avon: June 14, 2016 at age 80 years. Predeceased by parents Veda and Dewey Whitney; brothers Donald, Robert, and George Whitney; sister Marilyn DeMent. Survived by his wife Carol. Children; Lori (Richard) Brice, Glenn Whitney, Brenda (Scott) Muir, Bambi (John) Duris, William Whitney, and Gary (Tara) Whitney. 25 grandchildren. 12 great grandchildren. Brothers; Walter (Mary) Whitney, Kenneth (Theresa) Whitney, Richard (Penney) Redder. Sister Neta Seever. Nieces & Nephews.

William was born January 27, 1936 in Rochester, NY the son of Dewey and Veda Tiffany Whitney. He served in the United States Air Force from 1956 – 1960. He married his wife, the former Carol Smith on July 20, 1957 in Rochester. William was an Eastman Kodak employee, retiring in 1989. William also served as a foster father for 35 years, in both Monroe and Steuben Counties. He was a member of Grace Life Church.

Friends may call Friday, June 17th from 3-7 pm at the Kevin W Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 21 Big Tree Street, Routes 15 & 20A, Livonia. Funeral Services Saturday, 11 am at Grace Life Church, East Main Street, Avon. Burial with military honors, Pine Hill Cemetery, Rush.
