Livonia: Unexpectedly on February 17, 2016 at age 31 years. Predeceased by grandparents Donald Morton and Mary Shank. Survived by his daughter Lilia Morton, parents LaVerne & Cindy Morton of SC, and brother Shane Morton (Tasha Barger) of Scottsville. Also survived by grandparents; Rodney Shank of Conesus and Priscilla Morton of SC, cousin CJ Reynolds who was like a second brother to Damian, and many other loving family and friends.
Damian Morton was a charismatic, genuine, and loving man. If you’ve ever met Damian you know he was the type of person anyone could love. From the moment he first met her, he loved his daughter Lilia more than anything in the world. He liked to hunt, hike, and also loved some good fishing. He enjoyed meeting new people and people’s company in general. Damian liked to spend his days with family and friends, experiencing all that life had to offer. He knew we all make mistakes and was always willing to forgive those he loved. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
A gathering will be held to remember Damian’s life on Tuesday, February 23rd, at 7PM at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., Rte 15 & 20A, Livonia. My Dear Sweet Friend Cindy & Verne ~ I’m at a loss for words right now. The news just saddens my heart and everything within. I know there’s no greater pain and heart ache than the loss of a child. It leaves such a void. I know things happen in life that we just don’t understand… And it’s alright to ask why and it’s OK to get angry and a lot of other emotions you may go through. I pray that God wraps His Loving arms around you and as you feel the warmth of His love you can find peace and comfort and understanding beyond measure. I pray that you don’t lose sight of Him and your Faith remains strong and you trust and stay steadfast in His Word.
You are great parents and Damian was proud of you and he loved you so so very much and he knew you loved him too just by the examples you set and the love you shown each and every day and I know he was honored to call you Father and Mother (his parents).
