  1. As a fellow family doc, I am saddened to lose her. She was intolerant of lazy doctors. She epitomized what family doctors mean to patients.
She shouldered her responsibilities to society by being the Secretary of the New York State Academy of Family Physicians for years.

My condolences to her family and loyal friend , Bruce Mills

  2. On behalf of the Barnhoorn family, we will always be grateful for the loving care, emotional support Dr. Lois Eberhardt Brennan gave to our family, especially our Mom during her many health crises. Dr. Brennan was like an extended member of the family. She was always a part of our lives attending events such as graduations, weddings and the funeral of our late father. So many lives were touched by this devoted care giver as evidenced by the numerous tributes posted to this and other pages on the Internet. Honeoye is a much better place because of Dr. Brennan and now she belongs to the angels.

  3. I typo my last name. It is UHE not Uhw.

I have posted the picture of Lois and Bruce in 1996 at the cottage on Facebook page Things I remember about Canandaigua, N.Y.

  4. Lois was a wonderful lady. She came, with Bruce Mills to our Canadian cottage for the 50th birthday party that I gave to the cottage in 1996. It was a surprise to have someone care enough about being there and travel the 360 miles north. We exchanged Christmas cards after that. She gave so much to the community, and my father Dr. Philip Miles Standish always enjoyed visiting with her. The Honeoye area was fortunate to have had her as a part of their lives. My sincere condolences to the family and to Bruce also.
I now live 850 miles from Honeoye and 850 miles to the cottage. Thank you dear Lois for making that day special for me.

  5. Our sympathies and love to Dr. Brennan’s family and friends…..and to Dr. Mills who was very special to her. She was a great woman and doctor. I had the privilege of working with her for a short time. She was amazing! She also saved my life and I will never forget it! I called her my second mother never forgetting what she did for me!!!! She also was a great pillar of the community. Just a remarkable person!

  7. Sincere condolences to Dr. Brennan’s family. My family was one of the first of Dr.Brennan’s patients. She saw us through some difficult times. Seemed as if she could tell what ailed you without all the tests. We always seemed to have a running bill with her but she knew we would catch up. We even at times drove back from Pa. to seek her help and she knew who to send us to when my husband suffered from cancer to get the truth when even Strong Hosp couldn’t give it to us. Have missed her for a long time and sorry to hear of her passing.

  8. All of the Secrest children had the blessing of only having Dr. Brennan for their doctor. So sorry the next generations will miss the wonderful care she provided to all of us. There were many rush visits to the office…she was truly a blessing!

When she came to Honeoye she was on Briggs Street and then moved to Cty Road 37 not only was she an exceptional doctor but an excellent friend when you needed one. You can not find a care provider like she was, always had time to listen made you feel important. Rest in peace Dr. B

  11. My sincere condolences to Patricia, Connie, Mary Jo, Sandy and Bill on Dr. Brennan’s recent passing. I remember an emergency which my Mother had at the hospital in Canadaguia and she immediately helped us cut through the “Red Tape” to received the necessary medical attention and care! God Bless Her…and our prayers are with the Brennan Family.

  12. Dr. Brennan was a wonderful Doctor to our family for many years. Well respected and adored. They don’t make them like that anymore…

  13. I shared a special bond, having been the 1st baby Dr. Ebberhardt (I don’t know the proper sp.?) delivered. She always made me feel ‘special’ to her…through the ‘toughest shot giver’ EVER (I swear she had a windup), my 1st stitches, casts, etc. to the wealth of advice & heartfelt consultation/conversation in some ‘off kilter’ days of youth. At 57 yrs. old I have never felt as comfortable with a caregiver. She was so much more to me. I will always remember Dr. Brennan, the rock of Honeoye. A very, very special lady. THANK YOU. God Bless your soul. My condolences to her family.

  14. Bully, Dawn and family,
So sad to hear of Dr. b’s passing. The Carriers and Fitzgeralds always considered her family. Bradley was her first baby, she delivered all three of my children and carried our family through many health crisis. She was truly the Angel for all of Honeoye. She laughed with us, cried with us and now sadly, we have bid her farewell. God bless our Dr. bRennan…each of us loved and cared for her.

  19. We are deeply saddened by the passing of a dear friend
. But know that she is in a much better place and beyond the problems of poor health in what should have been her golden years.
To her family and Dr. Bruce our deepest condolence, rest assured she is at peace.

  20. Lois – “Aunt Lois” to my siblings and me – was a wonderful friend to our family, close with my Dad and Mom from the time Lois and Dad were in residency together at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical center in NH and through their years practicing medicine in the Finger Lakes. When Lois married Mike Brennan he too became like one of our family and was one of my father’s closest friends. Lois and Dad outlived both of their spouses and were of great comfort to each other throughout and since. I will always hold close my memories of our family sharing good times with Aunt Lois and her beloved Mike on the lake in Honeoye NY.

Go with God Aunt Lois; you will be missed by so many!! -Bruce “Ed” Mills
