Hazel M. Brisbane (Northrop) – February 8, 2016

Lakeville: February 8, 2016, with much grace and dignity, at age 75 years, after a courageous battle against cancer. Predeceased by her husband Arthur E. Brisbane and special friend Paul Kotak. Survived by children; Howard (Carol) Northrop of Avon, Jeffrey (Robin) Brisbane of Livonia, Deborah (Marty) Mark of Indian Gap, TX, John (Terri) Brisbane of Hemlock, and Susan Brisbane of Lakeville. 15 Grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Siblings; Ina (John) Hickman, Peggy (Chester) Jones, Agnes (Jim) Hink, Helen (Harold) Hess, Charles (Marjorie) Northrop, Robert (Pamela) Northrop, Steven Mingus, and Missy Mingus. Many nieces and nephews and also survived by her faithful companion Sammy.

Hazel was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, and sister who always put the needs of others ahead of her own. She often invited the children from the neighborhood into her home to play and have snacks. She loved being outdoors and spending time with her dogs Sammy and Percy. Hazel was also a life long bingo player, she made life long friends at Lakeville Bingo on Thursday nights. Hazel was also a working mother, she was in quality control at Kaddis Manufacturing for 26 years and often worked side jobs in local restaurants including J.J. Leisures in Lakeville.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 12th, at 11am at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 21 Big Tree Street, Rte 20A, Livonia. Rev. Jerry Wilson, officiating. Private interment will be held in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lakeville Fire Department, PO Box 373, Lakeville, NY 14480 or Wilmot Cancer Institute, 601 Elmwood Ave., Box 704, Rochester, NY 14642.   1. So sorry to hear of the passing of Hazel. Your Mom/Grandma/Sister was such a sweet lady. We had many chats over the phone these past few months. Take comfort in knowing you have a Guardian Angel watching over you. May God Bless you. RIP Mrs. Brisbane.

There really are no words to express our loss but I know that right now your sitting at the feet of our Great Savior and Lord and one day I will see you again. Prayers and love to our family and many thanks to those who have been the warriors fighting beside her. You are appreciated beyond measure.
