Lakeville: April 12, 2015 at age 61 years. Predeceased by her parents Walter & Thelma McDonald. Survived by her husband Arnold Dimmick and children; Melanie (Windell) Alexander of Lakeville and William (Sara) Dimmick of Hemlock. Grandchildren; Allyson, Jacory, and Cherryonna Alexander & Parker and Gabriella Dimmick. Siblings; Pedgy (Ray) VanBuren of Geneseo, Ed (Maxine) McDonald of Ontario, Janice (James) McFollins of Batavia, and Maureen (Jeff) Schirmer of Leicester. Several nieces & nephews, cousins, and friends. Curly had valiantly battled cancer for the past 12 years. She was placed on comfort care Friday at Strong Memorial Hospital, and 2 days later succumbed to liver cancer surrounded by her loving family.

Curly was born on May 8, 1953 in Dansville, NY to parents Walter & Thelma (Haynes) McDonald. She graduated from Geneseo High School in 1971. She married Arnold J. Dimmick in 1976 and they celebrated their 38th anniversary last year. Curly was a quiet, creative, compassionate person, who always tried to help others. She was a loyal friend to everyone that she knew…always putting others first. Curly was witty and had a great sense of humor. She was always involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren which she dearly loved….she was a true family person. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

Arnold Billy Melanie sorry for your loss losing a loved one is hard but Curly is now at peace without the pain,she was a great person was mom and grandma to a lot of kids over the years plus a fantastic friend we had some great times over the years I will sadly miss her .Love & Peace to you all .

  6. Arnold, Billy, and Melanie, my heart goes out to you! It’s never easy to lose one you love even though you know their suffering on earth is over. She has gone on to a better place and reuniting with those who have gone before her. We will miss her down here but we will see her again when our time comes. I have many fond memories of curly.
