  1. To the Novak family,
I offer sincere condolences for your loss. I was shocked to learn of Bob’s death. I was a student at MCC from ’74-’76. What a great guy; It was Bob’s enthusiasm and encouragement that drove me to continue further studies and a career in Optics. Our paths crossed many times over the years at various functions and Bob always had a smile and a story. He will be missed by everyone in the Optical community and his contributions will not be forgotten.
    Thought and prayers.

I am so sorry about your loss. I worked with Bob for a long time at MCC, the last few years were worked together, I was his program assistant trying to recruit new students into the Optics program. He was always there with an ear to listen and a hand to help. He will be sorely missed.

  9. I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the family of Bob. I first met him as my professor at MCC. He was a dynamic teacher that made learning easy. Later in life we became distant neighbors in Livonia and when I ran into him he always had a smile on his face and friendly greeting.
