Emma Jane Seager (VanCise) “Nonnie” – November 16, 2014

Bath: Emma J. Seager formerly of Savona, NY passed away on November 16, 2104 at age 96 years at the Taylor Health Facility surrounded by her loving family. Emma was born in Mercedes, TX on November 9, 1918 to parents Levi & Felipa (Garcia) VanCise. She married Leon R. Seager in 1936 and he predeceased her in 1993. She was retired from Westinghouse in Bath, NY. She was a member of the Wednesday “Sewing” Circle for many years. Emma was a long time member of the Church of the Good Shepard in Savona, NY. She is survived by her children; Jerry Seager of Mocksville, NC, and Phyllis (Stuart) Davidson of Easton, PA. Sisters; Lillian Myers, Annie Westrup, Josephine VanCise, and Nancy VanCise, all of Texas. 8 grandchildren; Roxanne (Randy) McDaniel, LuAnne (Larry) Brooks, Colleen (Brian) Pitts, all of Mocksville, NC, Tammy (Terry) Harding of Bethlehem, PA, Terri (Craig) Gillow of Bethlehem, PA, Craig (Cheryl) Davidson of Nazareth, PA, BethAn (Chris) Parulski-Seager of Bath, and Jennifer Walters also of Bath. 17 Great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. Sister-in-law Beatrice Whitehead of Bath and several nieces & nephews. Predeceased by her daughter-in-law Margo Seager in 2009, her great-grand daughter Kimberly Gillow in 2009, her daughter-in-law Polly Seager in 2011, her son David James Seager in 2013, her brothers Frank and Bobby VanCise.

Friends may call on Wednesday, November 19th, from 12noon-1pm at the Church of The Good Shepard, 33 Church Street, Savona, NY where Emma’s Funeral Service will follow at 1pm. Rev. Lynne Sharp will be the Celebrant. Burial will follow at Seamans Cemetery, Savona, NY. Memorial Contributions may be made in Emma’s memory to the Kimmy Gillow Scholarship Fund, 4012 Suncrest Lane, Bethlehem, PA 18020. Arrangements entrusted to the Kevin W.
