Canandaigua: September 25, 2014 at age 71. Predeceased by his parents Gilman and Alice (Sterns) Sheldon and daughter Nicole. Survived by his wife Debbie (Beahon) Sheldon of Canandaigua; Daughters Robin (Todd) Houseman of Albion and Teresa (Ryan) Wilkins of Medina; 3 Grandchildren Mercedes Houseman, Reagan and Lucas Wilkins; Sister Elizabeth (John) Tucker of TN; Brothers Edwin (Loretta) of NC and Alan (June) of Gasport, NY; extended family and friends.

Bob was born February 28, 1943, son of Gilman and Alice (Sterns) Sheldon. After graduating from high school he joined the US Navy. He then attended college at night for 6 years for accounting. He started his dairy career with Meadow Lane Dairy in 1968, where he picked up milk from farms delivering it to the dairy. Meadow Lane Dairy was purchased by Upstate in 1972. In later years Bob worked as the plant accountant. He continued working for Upstate until his retirement in 2011.

He loved working in his gardens, enjoyed fishing, was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Friends may call Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 3-6pm at the Kevin W Dougherty Funeral Home, 21 Big Tree St, Rtes 15 & 20A, Livonia, where services will follow calling at 6pm. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Wood Library, 134 N Main Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424 or a charity of choice.   1. I am so sorry for you’re loss. My dad bill Cayea and bob I have many fond memories of them working together at upstate and being members of the moose in Leroy. I remember them always fishing together. I lost my parents bill and bev in 2013 nine months apart. Once again sorry for you’re loss hold onto the memories.
