Livonia: Peacefully, on August 24, 2014, at age 80 years. Born the daughter of Harry and Anna Flanders on October 16, 1933, in Hornell. Predeceased by her husbands Richard Congdon in 2000 and Joseph Colosi in 2006. Survived by her children Kim (Scott) Pugliese of Penfield and Rick (Sharon) Congdon of Pleasanton, CA; 5 loving grandchildren, Nicholas and Shauna Pugliese, Kelsey, Taylor and Rylee Congdon; and 5 step-children, Greg, Gary, Mark and Mike Colosi, and Julie McNiece. Predeceased by brother Richard (Ida), and survived by brothers Everett (Ella) Flanders of Wellsville and Harry (Ronnie) Flanders of Victor; sisters-in-laws Mary Elizabeth (Don) Congdon, Ann Marie Shaw, and Virginia Flanders; brother-in-law Joseph (Pat) Congdon; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and many other special relatives and friends. She also leaves behind her loving dog Lacey.

She graduated from Hornell High School in 1951 and Bucknell University in 1955. She was a dedicated employee at Eastman Kodak for 33 years, retiring in 1991, and devoted parishioner at St. Matthew Church in Livonia.

Friends and family may call Thursday, August 28 at 4-7 PM at Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., Rte 20A, 21 Big Tree Street, Livonia. Her funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, August 29 at 10:30 AM at St Matthew Church Rte 20A, 6591 Richmond Mills Road, Livonia. Burial St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hornell.   1. Kim and Rick, So sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. What a beautiful, classy lady. I remember our childhood at those cold rinks. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

  2. Kim and Rick, I can’t tell you how sorry I was to read of your Mom’s passing. I haven’t seen her in so long, but thought of her often. Remembering the good times snowmobiling and just getting together. Please accept my sympathy and my prayers for you and your families.
