Margaret Ann (Hoppough) Treble “Peggy” – August 5, 2014

Honeoye: August 5, 2014 at age 81 years. Predeceased by her husband Herbert “Bert” Treble ; Survived by her devoted children: Kevin (Karen) Treble of Colorado Springs, Jody Sidlauskas of Hemlock, and Lisa Wells of Avon, sister Jean Hamilton of Hemlock, brother William (Beverly) Hoppough of Hemlock, sister Diane Case of Tennessee ,brother Robert (Joyce) Hoppough of Hemlock, Eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Margaret was born in Hemlock on June 22, 1933 to the parents of Gordon and Dorothy Hoppough. She was a 1950 graduate of Hemlock High and earned her bachelor’s degree at Geneseo State Teachers College, Geneseo, New York. She was a kindergarten teacher at the Honeoye Central School. She also was a librarian at the Honeoye Public Library and Richmond Town Historian. Margaret was on the Honeoye Public Library Board of Trustees for many years as well as a member of the Honeoye-Richmond Historical Society.

  3. My mother, brother, and I all send our condolences. Both my parents were actively involved in the Honeoye Public Library and avid local historians and thought most highly of both Peggy and Bert. All our best to the family in this difficult time.

  5. Peggy was well loved and respected by me and anyone who knew her. I knew her best as Lynne’s kindergarten teacher, but learned to respect and admire her as a fellow Rotarian. She was a wise person who offered many a chuckle when the situation called for it. Our prayers are with you all during these difficult days.
