  4. To Austin’s family: For a very short seven weeks I worked with your son, grandson, brother. He was a face I saw nearly every time I went to exercise at the Exercise Physiology lab for retirees and employees at the College at Brockport. He was the exercise mentor I was assigned to for the Spring semester. During those brief encounters, Austin was helpful, courteous, encouraging and caring. He was a wonderful young man whose presence will be truly missed at the Exercise Lab. Though I knew him briefly, his spoken words to encourage and to get me to go beyond what I thought I could do will be a lasting memory for me. May the years of memories you have of Austin and the knowledge that he had a positive lasting impact on people he encountered bring you some comfort as you go through this very trying time. My prayers are with you.
