Livonia: February 9, 2014 unexpectedly at home at age 49 years. Predeceased by his father Harold E. Carpenter Sr. in 1991 and brother Harold E. Carpenter Jr. in 2010. Survived by his children; Brandon Carpenter and Jared Carpenter both of Conesus, Paige Dolliver-Carpenter of Hamlin, and Devon Carpenter of Lima. Mother Corinne Carpenter of Williamson, GA, grandchildren; Collin & Brody Carpenter, siblings; Daniel (Ivy) Carpenter of Springwater, Andrea (Charles) Thiele of Rochester, and Mark Carpenter of GA. Special nephew Tyson Carpenter. Many nieces & nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Friends may call on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 21 Big Tree St., Rte 15 & 20A, Livonia. Funeral service Friday at 10:30am at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 23 Main St., Geneseo. Fr. Eric Thompson will be the celebrant. Burial to be held privately at a later date.   1. So sorry for the loss of a good person. Jay was always nice to me. My heart and my prayers go out to his family.

  2. Jay, you touched the lives of many with your lighthearted smile. Live has not always been easy for you. You shall be greatly missed by those you have touched. Rest now. Watch over those you have left behind. It’s never easy to say good bye. You were a good person and dad. Til we meet again.

  3. We are both sorry to hear about Jay. He was a great guy and sure knew drywall!! Bob & I have been really sick but we wanted you to know we are thinking of you now.

  4. Seems the good are taken too soon. I’ve had the pleasure of calling Jay my friend for many years and he will be greatly missed.

  5. Life has many highs & lows & this is a low of immeasurable depth. In my life I look back to the people I could call my real friend & the number seems pretty small. You were truly a great friend & a little brother. I have not seen you in a long time & that will be the twisting of the dagger of this pain. Gods peace to those that feel this pain. Loved you my friend.

RIP my dear jay it is so sad you have been taken so young , life is not fair and you will be missed by so many people and friends you have made throughout the years and all your family. you probably will have never known how many lives you have touched and how much you will be missed. hearts are heavy now but we will have many good memories to share. you are now another angel looking down on us.with love. pat taylor and family
