Nanette Maxwell – September 8, 2013

Geneseo: Nanette Maxwell died September 8, 2013 at age 77 after a long and valiant battle with ovarian cancer. Nanette was born in Glasgow Scotland in 1935. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is predeceased by her parents George & Eliza Hope, her brother George Hope, and grandson Elliot Maxwell. Survived by her loving husband Bill Maxwell of Geneseo, children; Raymond (Cheryl) Maxwell of Livonia, Stephen (Debbie) Maxwell of AR, and Jennifer (Pat) Redmiles of VA. Grandchildren, Jessica Redmiles, Alison Redmiles, Margaret Katherine Redmiles, Laura Maxwell, Andrew Maxwell, Ewan Maxwell, Shea Maxwell, Blair Maxwell, and Reghan Maxwell. Great-granddaughter Amelia Maxwell, and many dear friends.

Nanette’s memorial service will be held Saturday September 21, 2013 at 11am at the Central Presbyterian Church, 31 Center Street, Geneseo, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Po Box 1000, Memphis, TN 38148 or Golisano Children’s Hospital, PO Box 23029, Rochester, NY 14692.   4. Bill and family: Over the years, through my association with Bill starting with the MISL in the late 70’s; I learned that Nanatte was a great spouse and mother to her children.
    I am saddened by your loss and Barbara (Mrs.Machnik)and I wish you all the best during this difficult time.
    I always knew that Bill had the support of a great wife and wonderful family and realize how much she will be missed.
    Although, I do not believe that we were ever introduced, I feel as if I have known her quite awhile and that she was a good friend!

  6. Nana was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother. She had the best stories and the greatest accent! She will be missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, family and friends. Rest in Peace, Nana.

  7. I hope that I will be able to attend Nan’s Memorial Service. She was a wonderful friend, and I am saddened that we didn’t keep in touch.
