Dansville: Kenneth O. Johnston, 71 years, of Groveland Station Road, in Dansville, NY died Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Vincent House in Wayland. He was born in Warsaw, NY, June 14, 1941 the son of Otis and Ruth Lindsay Johnston. He served 4 years in the US Air Force from 1960 through 1964.Prior to retirement he was employed as a security officer with Eastman Kodak Co. and also Brinks Inc. in Rochester.

Ken is survived by his wife Joeen Johnston; his sons, Kevin (Rebecca) Johnston of Liverpool, NY. and Jeffrey (Kristin) Johnston of Geneseo. his aunt, Helen Johnston of Livonia; 4 grandchildren, Lauren, Ashley, Caleb, & Caroline. his brother, Martin (Sharon) Johnston of Conesus. His sisters, Patricia Collister of Mt. Morris, Collette McTarnaghan of Mt. Morris, Valva (Robert) Bradshaw of Nunda, June (William) Mills of Dansville. special nephews, Mark Johnston of NC and Brian Hiler of FL. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by brothers, Ivan and Robert Johnston. Also his sister, Sheila Hiler.

Friends are invited to calling hours at the family residence on Saturday, May 18, 2013 from 2 – 5 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 5 PM, with Rev. David Hotchkiss officiating.   1. Ken and I worked at Kodak and Brinks. He will be missed very much. Ken had a big heart and would do anything for you. My condolences to the family..may God bless you all.

  2. Joeen, I can’t tell you how sorry we are about Ken. He was a wonderful guy and a faithful friend, and a fellow coffeeholic.He and Bill used to polish off a couple pots at work every night.

    I will miss talking to him and telling him, that to watch golf is like watching paint dry or grass grow. He had a good sense of humor. Bill used to say that he and kenny spent more nights together than with us.
