  1. Friend, confidante, advisor, 2nd mom. All of these terms describe what Marie was to me. When I was a young girl, she was always by my side offering her friendship & love. She was my Confirmation Sponsor, she was there when I graduated from College and she was there for me when my parents died offering strength and support. She was my pal. We played tennis together, shopped together, and took piano lessons together. And when I finally became a mom, she and Tony visited often to see my babies and shower them with love and of course, presents. Marie was one of the most generous people I have ever known. Not only did she give great gifts, but more importantly, she gave of herself, the greatest gift of all!
She was my mom’s best friend and a dear friend to my entire family. We shared many laughs together over countless cups of tea. We were entertained many a night by my mom’s tea-leaf reading abilities.
Marie was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. Her family meant everything to her. She would always fill me in on the many accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. She was so very proud of them all. And because she was such an amazing mom, her children took care of her when she needed them most.
Marie’s Catholic faith was evident to all who knew her. She lived her life as Jesus wished, spreading her faith and putting others before herself. She was a gentle, loving, caring soul. Our loss on Earth is Heaven’s gain. we will miss you dear friend but your smile & kind spirit will remain with us forever. We love you! Eileen & family
