A Special Poem from his Children

The time we had,Dad,
Wasn’t nearly enough
To pack in an entire
Lifetime of love.

There are are so many questions
That need answers to,
But now that you’re gone
There’s no way to ask you.

But there are still photos
To remember you by,
Each time we look at them,
We still want to cry

They say grief is easier
to bear as time goes by
But this doesn’t stop me
from wondering why?

Why our dear, sweet dad,
Was taken so soon,
When he was our guiding star,
Our sun and our moon.

There no answers
To a question like this,
So we will cherish your memory,
And mourn the years we will miss.

  1. Sharon and Family………..I am sooooo sorry to hear of your loss. Gene was a very wonderful person and so witty. The time I worked at Graver he always made me laugh. He was so full of life and very pleasant to be around. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him…Gary and I send our deepest sympathy to all of you. God Bless You and remember, knowing Gene I am sure he has already made the Heavens laugh…….loves to you Sharon

  2. Sharon, Kim Rick and Robin,
Gene was the most special guy in the world and I adored him (No secret to you Sharon). He always had a kind word and was funny beyond belief. I was always impressed that at holiday or vacation time he always came into the office area and said goodbye to everyone individually. He was the greatest and I so enjoyed working with him during his entire time at Graver Technologies. He even called occassionally after he retired to catch up with me. I will miss him terribly. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. God bless you.

  3. So sorry to hear of your loss. We had a lot of laughs with Gene in the short time we knew him. We are thinking of you and your family in this time of sorrow. God bless you.
