  1. Dear Sara, Jenny and Terese,
Ray was one of a kind and he broke the mold. So sorry he left your lives too soon. He was such a character in our family. Jenny and Teresa, my mom “Woman” loved you both and truly appreciated him bringing you into her life. She so enjoyed the whole family. Please know you will always be part of our lives.

  2. Dearest Sara, Jenny and Terese, Ray was one of a kind. His life was full of struggle and overcoming struggle. He was curious and smart and competent. His greatest gifts, the joy of his life, were the three of you. Gear and Woman reunited. Watch over us. Love, Sharon

  3. Sara and girls….I think of your family about 1989 moving into the North Rd house….you were all so eager to have the country home. Please accept my sincere sympathy for the passing of Ray. He was happy to be ‘the man’ and took such good care of his family. May God bless you all. Paula

  4. My deepest sympathy to Sara and all the family.
Ray was a friend and neighbor of mine for many years

  5. Thank you for all the kind words. My dad will be greatly missed. I have so many fond memories of my dad – teaching me how to play chess, building model airplanes, watching him fix and build things with all his tools (there were so many!), rides with him on his motorcycle, playing “May I” with Woman, trips to Watkins Glen – the camper, the race track, eating at the Lodge, parties at the Comardos, doing donuts in the school parking lot when he would drop me off before anyone else was there. We always wish we had more time, but my dad accomplished so much in the time that he had and we are so very proud of him. If anyone wishes to reconnect with me, please feel free to contact me at JRog80@gmail.com
    Much love, Jenny (“Bunker”) Rogers

  6. Sara, Deb, Patti and family, so very sorry for your loss. We are sending prayers and hugs your way! I’m sure Dad was up there waiting for him when Ray arrived. We’ll be thinking of you on Saturday. Much love!

  7. Gear taught me how to ride a motorcycle and taught me how to maintain one. I introduced him to “the Glen”. My mother (aka “Woman”) adopted him, Sara and his wonderful girls. He had wonderful loyal dogs (Dixie, etc.). He was a responsible hunter and cared about nature. Yes Gear, you were the first person to warn me about Zebra mussels…I wish you peace and like Paul a swift “working” Harley. To Sara and the girls I’m so sorry…”Woman” was no doubt waiting for him with a cold brew and a deck of cards. Adios “Don Quixote”…Petie Bradley

  8. I met Ray when he was about 22 or so. We became good friends and for many years were inseperable. Ray was one of a kind and I’m glad we were such good friends. May he ride heavens highways, get a bike from God that starts easier than the one he built and be waiting at the bar when I get there.

  9. Sara and family, Deb and family, Patti and Don, our thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you pass through this difficult time. Ray was a unique individual and his presence will be missed by all of you so very much. Ray always kept in touch with Gregg and I, and I already miss the email messages that he sent and the conversations that we had on the telephone. God bless you all!
