Gordon M. Wingate ~ April 3, 2012

Livonia: April 3, 2012 at age 83 years. Gordon is survived by his wife of 61 years, June B. Wingate; children, Jeffrey (Linda) Wingate of Denver, CO, Martin (Cynthia) Wingate of St. Petersburg, FL, Murray (Jill) Wingate of Livonia, Julie Wingate of Tuscon, AZ, Diane (Scott) Williams of Hartsville, TN; four grandchildren, Garrett Williams, Adam, Mallory, and Michael Wingate; one great-granddaughter; nieces & nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by brothers, Merle, Harmon, Glenn, and infant siblings Floyd, Earl and Carl.

Gordon was born November 12, 1928 in Canandaigua, NY the son of Roy and Ethel Trescott Wingate. He graduated from Livonia Central School in 1947, attended Boys State, owned and operated, with his brother Glenn, Wingate Brothers, Big Tree Farm. He served on the Livonia School Board, and the Genesee Valley BOCES Board, and participated actively with the Farm Museum at the Hemlock Fair. He was also a member of the Livonia United Methodist Church.

Friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service, Friday, April 6, 2012 at 11 AM, Livonia United Methodist Church, 21 Summers St., Livonia. Interment, Union Cemetery.
