Livonia: Sharon A. Decker, 56 years of Coe Road, Livonia, NY died suddenly Saturday, October 8, 2011 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. She was born September 1, 1955 in Rochester, the daughter of Paul and Shirley Thorpe Marshall. Sharon was a graduate of Livonia Central School and served as the secretary-treasurer to the Hemlock Fire Dept. Fire Commissioners. She was a longtime employee (30 years) at Genesee Valley Boces in LeRoy.

She is survived by her husband Ted Decker; children, Robert Buck (Michelle Gillespie) of South Carolina, and Kristy (Thomas) Reinhart of Livonia. Step children, Taunia (Scott) Domuracki of Lima, Tara Allen of Dansville and Ted,Jr. (Nastasha) Decker of Farmington.10 grandchildren. Her parents, Paul and Shirley Marshall of Hemlock. Her siblings, Mike Marshall of Honeoye, Jim Marshall of Hemlock, Roger Marshall of Hemlock and Sheila (Fred) Staley of Conesus. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. Routes 15 & 20A, 21 Big Tree St. Livonia, where services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM.     Words cannot express my heartfelt sympathy for all of you. May you take comfort in the good times and happy memories you shared with Sharon. Deb and I took a walk down memory lane and so many memories came to us about growing up across from the Marshall family…the parties, the pool, playing with the old post office boxes, going on vacations and so much more. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

  6. My thoughts and prayers are with all who loved Sharon. As kids, we shared so many great times. Once Sharon gave you her love and friendship, she was always there for you. I loved her laughter–her joy for life and her family. As my brother said, growing up at Holiday Hill with all the Marshall’s was a great experience. Although I’m physically in Florida, I am with you all. She will be missed by so many people. She touched so many of us in so many ways. “Helluva moon, Sharon” and I know the heavens will be much brighter with you there.
