Robert L. “Bob” Watson – October 2, 2011

Canandaigua: Robert L. “Bob” Watson, 66, formerly of Honeoye, NY and Orlando, FL., passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Thompson Hospital Continuing Care Center as a result of complications from diabetes.

He was predeceased by his mother, Mary E. Treble Watson of Honeoye; maternal grandparents, Arthur and Mary Edna Treble of Honeoye; paternal grandparents, Fred and Mary J. Watson of Lima, NY.

Robert is survived by his father, Joseph of Honeoye; sisters Mary J Watson of Honeoye, and Rita (Harold) Rosser of Naples, FL.; nephew, Luke (Emily) Rosser & great-nephew Thomas Rosser of Darien,CT., several aunts, uncles & cousins. Also survived by friends from Honeoye, old Sigma Nu brothers from Stetson University & friends from Orlando, FL.

Robert earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in psychology from Stetson University in Deland, FL. He was employed by the State of Florida as a vocational rehabilitation counselor and worked for the Minnesota Twins organization, as a statistician and photographer. After retirement, Robert was employed at Universal Studios in Orlando.

Thank You to Bob’s “Nurse Ratchet” in Rosewood, & George,C.N.A. in Lakeview, and all the volunteers, staff, & caregivers, who cared for Bob at Thompson C.C.C.. A special Thank You to Michelle, C.N.A., in Rosewood.

  1. Bob was a great family friend of the Clark family. He will be missed by all of us. We worked with him for many years with the Twins baseball team in Orlando. Thanks to Bob for all he did for us. Our heartfelt condolences to the Watson family.

    I can imagine Bobby is in heaven watching the baseball series play out with Jimmy and Jack…love the picture with the baseball hat. God Bless all of you – you have had a year of significant losses.
