Livonia: Samuel J. Cicero of Main St. Livonia, NY died Monday, June 6, 2011 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Predeceased by daughter, Mary and granddaughter, Leanne Luke. He was born in Avon, NY, September 11, 1925 the son of Joseph and Mary Scorsone Cicero. Sam was married to the former Bessie Obbie in September 1949. He was a life long farmer who belonged to many agriculture based organizations over the years and for a period of time also owned and operated Cicero Meat Products in Livonia while also farming full time. He was a member of the former St. Josephs Church in Livonia and a member of St. Matthews Church also in Livonia where he particpated in many ministries, activities and committees over the years.

Besides his wife Bessie, Sam is survived by children, Joseph (Michele) Cicero of Honeoye, Charles (Lois) Cicero of Livonia, Sam Cicero (James Yost) of Rochester, Virginia ( James, Jr. ) Stefano of Livonia, Janet (John) Donato of Henrietta. 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. his sister, Lucy Finocchario of South Lima. Several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Thursday, June 9, 2011 from 4 – 7 PM at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. Routes 15 & 20A, 21 Big Tree St. Livonia. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 11 AM at St. Matthews Church, Route 20A, Livonia with the Rev. John H. Hayes officiating. Burial, St. Michaels Cemetery, Livonia.
