Jean O’Connor of Geneseo, died September 16, 2011 at age 62 years. She was predeceased by father, Joseph Russell.

Jean is survived by her husband, Robert; her mother, Olive Russell of Prescott, AZ., several cousins, many dear friends including Allie & Bruce Donnan of York.

Richmond: Helen L. Beach, 84 years, life long resident of Richmond, NY went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at MM Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua. She was born March 26, 1927 in Canadice, NY, the daughter of Walter and Carrie Crooks Cratsley. She was predeceased by her husband Casper Beach. She was a former member of the Ontario County Cornell Cooperative Extension. Her interests included sewing, knitting and ceramics.

She is survived by her son, Carl (Lorraine) Beach of Honeoye, NY and daughter, Janet Shaver of Honeoye, NY; 4 grandchildren, Carla, Joshua, Kristin, and Amy; 3 great grandchildren, Sarahrae, Preston, and Delaney; sister, Irene Pfuntner of Honeoye, NY; brothers, Alfred (Jane) Cratsley, of Honeoye, NY, Arthur (Priscilla) Cratsley of Bloomfield; nieces and nephews.

Victor, NY: Formerly of Honeoye, NY, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 19, 2011 at age 93 years. She was born in Rochester, NY September 17, 1918 the daughter of Vincent and Elizabeth Pawlowska Wisniewski. As a practicing Roman Catholic, she was an active member of both St. Stanislaus Church in Rochester and St. Mary’s Church in Honeoye, NY. Prior to retirement, she was employed by DeLoitte-Touche in Rochester. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter F. Kelly and grandson Robert C. Townsend.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and George Townsend of Victor. Grandsons, David (Johanna) Townsend and Scott (Elaine) Townsend, great grandchildren, Lyndsey, Sydney, Justin and Jessica. Also, survived by brother, Joseph (Cecelia) Wisnewski of Webster, sisters Irene Wisniewski of Irondequoit and Helen Rogowicz of Sherwood, Oregon. Many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Honeoye: James M. “Jimmy” Lowe, 49 years of Grandview Dr. in Honeoye, NY died September 20,2011 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was born in Rochester, December 7, 1961 the son of Maurice and Carol Wheaton Lowe. He was a graduate of Honeoye Central School and was employed as an auto mechanic with Dave’s Towing in Honeoye, NY.

uncle_eric_smallSpringwater: Eric A. Van De Vliert, August 25, 2011 at age 47. Eric was born August 5, 1964 in Rochester, N.Y. to parents Albertus and Rika Van De Vliert. Eric graduated from Caledonia-Mumford Central High School. He served his country in the United States Air Force in Germany and Washington state. He worked as a Finish Carpenter most of his life, not only in New York, but also Colorado, Maine, South Dakota, and North Carolina. He settled in Springwater N.Y. near Hemlock Lake. Eric was fun-loving and big-hearted, he’ll be sorely missed, for he departed his loved ones too soon. Survived by brother and sister-in-law Al and Penny Van De Vliert, of Mountain Home, Idaho, his two nieces, and many aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.

Canadice – David B. Deveans, 72 years, of County Road 37, Canadice, NY (Springwater,NY 14560), died unexpectedly at his home, Tuesday September 6, 2011. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, November 22, 1938, the son of Stanley and Katherine Griffin Deveans. He served his country in the US Navy from 1956 through 1958. For many years, he was a heavy equipment operator, belonging to the operating engineers 832 in Rochester,NY and also was truck driver for Monroe Contractors. He also was a member of the Honeoye-Hemlock American Legion Post.

He is survived by Doris Deveans; his children, Cindy (Mike) Cary of Farmington,NY, Cathy Deveans (Duane Edgerton) of Canadice, Terri (Jim) Utter of St. Petersburg, FL, David A. (Jennifer) Leveans of Canadice, NY. Step-daughter, Vicky Brown of New Port Richey, FL. 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. 3 sisters, Mary Braddock of Mich., Karen and Myra Moore of Rochester. Shirley D. VanDerMeid (Drain) – September 1, 2011

Livonia: Shirley Drain VanDerMeid, 85 years, of Livonia, NY died Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Conesus Lake Nursing Home in Livonia where she had been a resident the past six years. She was born June 12, 1926, in Canandaigua, NY the daughter of Carl and Mildred Coykendall Drain. A lifelong resident of Livonia, she graduated from Livonia High School and the former Genesee Hospital Nursing School in Rochester. She pursued her career as a Registered Nurse at the Genesee Hospital for several years. Shirley was married to her late Husband William R. VanDerMeid for 63 years prior to his passing in June, 2010. Her working career also included the cafeteria at Livonia Central School, a teacher aide at the school and also, serving as the registered nurse in the elementary school. She and Bill were both active members of the Livonia United Methodist Church where Shirley served as choir director for both the Junior and Senior choir for many years. She also was a member of the Livonia Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her Son, James (Shirley) VanDerMeid of Wayland, and Daughter, Lynda Robinson of Livonia. Her Grandchildren, Michael (Shamrock) VanDerMeid, Nicole VanDerMeid, Timothy (Cassandra) Robinson, Daniel (Justine)Robinson and Kristina Robinson. 9 Great-Grandchildren. Her Sister, Beverly Deats of Canadice, NY, Her Brothers, William (Delores) Drain of Geneseo and Richard (Eleanor) Drain of Bath, NY. Also, several nieces and nephews and dear friends.
