erbeldingBristol: David Michael “Mike” Erbelding, 54 years, of Green Road, Bristol, NY (Honeoye) died suddenly, Wednesday October 27, 2010 at his home. He was born in Germany, March 12, 1956 the son of William and Patricia Erbelding. He was a graduate of Honeoye Central School and an electrician in the international brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local #86 in Rochester, NY. He served his country in the US Navy from 1975 through 1979. Mike was a member of the Honeoye-Hemlock American Legion Post #1278, Sons of the American Legion.

He is survived by his brothers, Robert Erbelding of Colorado and John Erbelding of Bristol.

Honeoye: Patricia A. “Pat” Colby, 72 years of Gullick Road in Honeoye, NY, formerly of Bergholtz, NY died Monday October 25, 2010 at the Hospeace House in Naples, NY after an extended illness. She was born in Buffalo, NY, August 7, 1938, the daughter of George and Ruth Hartman Brock. She was a member of the Bergholtz Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and its Ambulance. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Honeoye. Pat was predeceased by her loving husband, on September 22, 2010. They had been married since January 14, 1963.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Charlene Flieger ( Thomas “Bear” Knapp) of Honeoye; her mother, Ruth Brock of North Tonawanda, NY; 2 grandchildren, Bruce Flieger and Carlotta Knapp. brother, David Brock of North Tonawanda, NY and sister, Sally (Ronald) Cialone of North Tonawanda. Aunt, Gerry Crawford of Melbourne, Florida. 1 niece and 1 nephew.

Livonia: A. Lorraine Perrin, 79 years, of Harper Parkway, Avon, NY, formerly of Livonia died Monday, October 18, 2010 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, NY, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Retsof, NY March 7, 1931 the daughter of Walter and Helen Bailey Gregg. She was a retired employee of the Livonia Central School Cafeteria. She loved music, specifically country and western and was always very enthusiastic about, singing, dancing and karioke. She was a member of the Livonia Senior Citizens Club and the Avon XYZ Club, very often joining her fellow members on their many bus trips. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald M. Perrin in 1989.

She is survived by her long time companion, Joseph Meyer of Avon. her sons, Donald (Kathy) Perrin of Livonia; Randy (Arlene) Perrin of Johnstown, NY. 5 grandchildren, Steve, Michael, Jenny (Stephen Mac), Sarah, and Nathan. several nieces and nephews.

Piffard: John R. McAdoo, 45 years, of Genesee St. Piffard, NY (York,NY) died Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Vanderbilt Univesity Medical Clinic in Nashville, Tennesee.

He was born in Warsaw, NY, September 13, 1965 the son of Richard and Rowena Cary McAdoo. He was a 1983 graduate of Pioneer High School in Arcade and went on to obtain his Bachelors Degree from Chapman University. He was married to the former Barbara Will on December 19, 1987 at Blesssed Sacrament Church in Delevan, NY. John was employed as the Vice President – Technology, at L-Mar Associates in Rochester, NY. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1987 though 1994.

Taking great pride in his childrens activities, he was active in both Boy Scouting and Girl Scouting. John was also active in the school activities where his children attended including, St. Agnes School, Avon, McQuaid Jesuit High School, Rochester, Our Lady of Mercy of High School, Rochester, and Siena Catholic Academy in Brighton.

Besides his wife, Barbara, John is survived by his children: Lauren, Alex, Ryan, and Lindsey McAdoo all at home; his parents: Richard and Rowena McAdoo of Clarence, NY; his sisters, Cheryl Haskins of Tully, NY, Barbara (Don) Stucke of East Aurora, NY. his brother, Mark (Kristy) McAdoo of Golden, CO.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Patricia Will of Machias, NY; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a large extended family of relatives and friends.

Dorothy G. West – October 16, 2010

Livonia: Died peacefully at home on October 16, 2010, surrounded by her family. She was born September 7, 1930, the daughter of Archie and Gracia Trescott Giltner, and was a life-long resident of Livonia,NY. She is predeceased by her husband Frank West in 1976 and also sisters Marion Kusnierczak, Esther Aten, Arlene McEwen, and brother Kenneth Giltner. She is survived by six children: Sally West of Geneseo, Susan (Kevin) Fitzgibbon of Livonia, Samuel (Julie) West of Livonia, Sharon West of Livonia, Sandra (Dan) Williams of Hammondsport, and Stephen West also of Livonia. Four Grandchildren, Phillip and Megan West, Bryan Fitzgibbon, and Ruby Williams. She is also survived by one brother Glenn (Janice) Giltner of Medina, NY, sister-in-law Ann Nesbitt of Geneseo, brothers-in-law Jim West and Bud West both of Livonia. Many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

As a young girl, Dorothy Jean West grew up on the East Swamp Road in Conesus. Before the age of 9, she lost both parents, was separated from her siblings, and came to know her grandmother as her primary caregiver.

Even when faced with such adversity, Dorothy made the most of what she had. She developed a love for the outdoors, and became involved in school activities. She easily made friendships that have lasted from her days at the one room schoolhouse on Sliker Hill through her 1948 graduation from Livonia Central School.

Dorothy worked for Kodak until she married her high school sweetheart, Frank West in 1953. She became a full time mother and raised six children: Sally, Susan, Samuel, Sharon, Sandra, and Stephen. When Frank died in 1976, she took over as president of West Beer Distributors. She retired in 2001 and took on her most cherished role as full time Grandma to Philip, Bryan, Megan, and Ruby.

Dorothy’s endless commitment as a wife, mother, friend, classmate, businesswoman, and grandmother has left a lasting impression and memories to fill a lifetime.

Le Roy E. Sammis – October 14,2010

Honeoye: Le Roy E. Sammis, 84 years, of Huff Road, Honeoye, NY died Thursday October 14, 2010, at Canandaigua Veterans Hospital in Canandaigua, NY. He was born in Huntington, Long Island, NY December 9, 1926, the son of Le Roy and Margaret Lane Sammis. He served his Country in World War Two from 1944 being Honarably Discharged on April 28, 1947, as a Seaman Second Class in The US Navy. He operated his own landscape business in Honeoye for many years. Roy was a lifetime member of the Honeoye-Hemlock American Legion Post #1278 and the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). He was a gifted artist, who loved animals and the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Loraine Sackett Sammis; daughter, Rachel Sammis (Jeff DeWall) of Honeoye; 2 grandchildren, Devin and Rainbow. brother-in-law, Kenneth Werder of Honeoye; sister-in-law, Ann Stonewell of West Bloomfield, NY. Several nieces and nephews. Also, many special friends st the Canandaigua VA Medical Center, including Jon and Katie Geller.

Hemlock: James E. Reamore, 67 years, of Old Bald Hill Road, Hemlock died Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Highland Hospital in Rochester,NY after a lengthy illness. He was born in Gouverneur, NY, July 16, 1943. the son of Errol A. and Marguerite Hull Reamore. He graduated from Gouverneur High School in 1961, and was an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He also was a gun collector and took a great deal of interest in photography. Prior to retiring, he was a tool and die maker at Bausch-Lomb in Rochester.

He is survived by his children, Michael (Maria) Reamore of Glen Burnie, Maryland, Melissa (David) Mineo of Lockport, and Brian (Denise) Reamore of Conesus. step-son, Kurt (Debbie) LaDue of Springwater. 5 grandchildren. 3 step-grandchildren.

Margaret (Witkousky) Mazzochi, 86 years of Geneseo, NY died early Tuesday morning, October 12, 2010 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, NY. She was born in Manhattan, NY, March 11, 1924, the daughter of John and Mary Baroni Mazzochi. She was employed as a secretary for many years by Burns Detective Agency.

David, 86 years, of Stone Hill Road, Livonia, died peacefully, Sunday October 10, 2010 with his loving family at his side, at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, where he had been admitted on Saturday evening. He was born in South Lima, NY, September 8, 1924, the son of William and Amelia Gesell David. Gordon was a life long farmer who belonged to the Farm Bureau, Rochester Pigeons Chapter and an active Presbyterian in earlier years.
