Bristol: Beverly J. Mastowski, 59 years of Route 20A, Bristol, died suddenly Friday, June 26, 2009 at her home. She was born July 2, 1949 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of LaVern and Catherine Lewis Holmes. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Mastowski in 2006.

Beverly is survived by her children, Joanne Tinoco of Nevada, Dana (John) Guffey of Honeoye, Arlene (Dave) Koons of Ontario, Canada and Richard (Tina) Richardson of Bristol. her sister, Kathy Perkins of CA., brothers, Don Moore, Eugene Holmes and Tino Anyna all of California. several nieces and nephews.

Joseph R. Morris Sr. – June 23, 2009

Livonia: June 23, 2009 at age 83 years. Joe peacefully slipped the bond his body had become on a sunny summer afternoon surrounded by his loving family. Joe “Dudley” was born June 2, 1926 in Rochester, NY to John and Bridie Doyle Morris in Rochester, NY. He was an Aquinas graduate and put his education on hold in order to enlist in the US Army during WW II. His education at U of R was again interrupted for further service in the Army during the Korean War, where he became a highly decorated combat veteran earning, among other awards, a Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. His career took his family to Worcester MA, Baltimore MD and back to Livonia, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Mary and his daughter-in-law Ellen Calhoun.

Joe is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eleanor (Madigan) Morris, and his 7 children, Joseph, Michael, Patricia (Randy Remming), Kathy, Sheila (Jerry Coon), Maureen (Ken Smith), Eileen (Jeff Fugle), son-in-law, Amir Aghaghari; grandchildren, Stephen Morris, Heather Morris, Christopher and Cameron Copeland, Joseph Costanza and James, Mark, Aaron, Rachel, Ruth and Gabe Herrmann, Rachel, Annalee (Brandon Weiss) and Victoria Coon, Patricia and Leanne Smith, Alison and Elean Fugle, Jenny ( Eric Reinhart); great grandchildren, Natalie Tschiderer, Madison Copeland, Hunter Weiss, Cadence, Jonathon and Elyza Reinhart. Also remembered are his many friends and relatives. Joe was a friend of Bill W., a member of St Matthews Church, the DAV, the American Legion and the VFW. He also was a lifetime member of the Livonia Fire Dept. where he served as Chaplain, and also the Livonia Volunteer Ambulance.

Larry C. “Woody” Stewart – June 19, 2009

Livonia: Larry C. “Woody” Stewart, 67 years, died June 19, 2009 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born in Livonia April 24, 1942 the son of James and Marion Waden Stewart. Woody served in the US Air Force from 1961 to 1965. He was employed by the Town of Livonia in the highway department for 28 years, the last 14 being the elected Highway Superintendent. He was a lifetime member of the Livonia Fire Department and a member of the Lakeville Fire Department. Woody was also a longtime member of the Livingston County Highway Superintendents Association.

Survived by his wife Dorothy; children, Debbie (Tom) Jerris of Livonia; Larry Stewart 11 of Conesus. Sisters, Arlene Nowack of Livonia, Carol Gouthro of Woburn, Mass., Diane Stewart of Livonia and Donna (Gene) Morsch of Perkinsville. Brother, James (Barbara) Stewart of Conesus. Honeoye: Elizabeth S. “Dick” White, 88 years, of County Road 37, Honeoye, died June 18, 2009 at M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua after a long illness. She had been employed by both Thompson Hospital, and the former Genesee Hospital in Rochester. She was a member of the Honeoye-Hemlock American Legion Auxiliary. Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Harold White in 1968.

Survived by her children, Diana (Ray Baker) White of Lima, Lee (Sandy) White of Wayland, Roy (Jean Abbott) White of Canadice, Ted (Lorrie) White of Honeoye, Hal (Mae) White of Canadice. 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. nieces and nephews.

South Livonia: Olga M. Niedermaier, 92 years, died June 11, 2009 at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home in Livonia after a long illness. She was born in Livonia, May 19, 1917 the daughter of Theodore and Clara Belle Collier. Olga and her late husband operated a grocery store in South Livonia for many years.

She was predeceased by her husband Matthias; sisters, Jennie Henry, Ruth Beach; and brother, George Kiefer. She is survived by nieces and nephews including John (Jill) Beach, Laurie Candie, Kathy (John ) Benson, Bill (Linda) Beach and other nieces and nephews in the Niedermaier, Kiefer and Henry families, sister-in-law, Alice Kiefer, and brother-in-law James Henry, and special friends Gayle and Dan Gascon.

Raymond J. Connell – June 8, 2009

Livonia: Raymond J. Connell, 85 years, passed away peacefully at the Conesus Lake Nursing Facility on June 8, 2009. He was born on December 31, 1923 the son of Raymond J. and Martha Yahn Connell. Ray was an educator and administrator for 32 years, most recently at the Livonia Intermediate School, which now bears his name.

Ray is survived by his wife Patricia; daughters Maureen, Marti (Chad) Henderson, Rae Anne (Alex) Strasenburgh, granddaughters Brenna and Brogan Henderson, and grandson Andrew Strasenburgh. He is also survived by his brother Jim (Anne) Connell brother-in-law Don Wolf, along with many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Ray’s sisters Bernice Wolf and Mary Jeanne Connell predeceased him.

Ray lived in Livonia most of his life. After high school he fought in World War II and battled on the beaches of Normandy. He then went to college to become a teacher. His path eventually led him back to Livonia.

Ray had many interests. He was an avid horseman. He was an outstanding gymnast at Cortland State where he did his undergraduate work. He was a coach, with wrestling being his biggest passion. Even in his later years, in failing health, he continued to find enjoyment following the Livonia Wrestling Team. He was a carpenter and entrepreneur, building homes in the area after his retirement from school, along with his wife Pat and their business, Home Sweet Homes by Connell.

In addition to being a decorated WWII veteran, Ray was a past national president of the Delta Kappa fraternity. He is a member of the Livonia Central School Athletic Hall of Fame, as well as the Livingston Conference Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Ray will be greatly missed by his family, many friends, and former colleagues.

Patrick T. Kelly “PK” – June 5, 2009

Piffard: Patrick T. “PK” Kelly of Genesee St. Piffard, NY died Friday June 5, 2009 at his home after a short illness. He was born in Rochester,NY July 1, 1957 the son of George and Elizabeth “Betsy” Porreca Kelly, who predeceased him. Pat’s effervescence and enthusiasm for life ennabled him to hold many dear friends, ensuring he will always be remembered and cherished. Most recently, he worked at Elmwood Manor Compex in Rochester as a supervisor, after 20 years at the Gates-Chili School District as a courier. He was a beloved and committed husband, who married in 1993 and renewed his vows in 2000. He was a caring and gracious father, who provided an immeasurable amount of unconditional love, passion,guidance and support. Anyone who knew PK, even for a minute, knew he loved Pink Floyd, also. Many will miss him and hold his memory forever in their hearts. Pat was a man who could – and often would – reach out to any and all persons; expected or unexpected.

Farmington-Honeoye: Mary H. Ellison, 57 years, of Tidd Circle in Farmington, formerly of Honeoye, died Wednesday June 3, 2009 at Strong Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born August 17, 1951 in Warsaw, NY the daughter of Walter and Mary Birge Hubbell. She was a 1969 graduate of Geneseo Central School and received her Associates Degree from Finger Lakes Community College. For several years, she was employed by Wilson Farms.

She is survived by husband of 37 years, Donald T. Ellison; 3 daughters, Amy (Jason) Fitzner of Orchard Park, NY, Kimberly (T.J.)
