Conesus: May 28, 2009 at age 57 years. Survived by wife Maxine Alexander, Children; Curtis Alexander II of Conesus, Tammie Cromwell of Rochester, and Wendell Cory Alexander of Lakeville. Five Step Children; Rollin Cromwell, Robert Cromwell, Angela Cromwell, Melissa Mitchell, and Cody Mitchell. Sisters Linda Slay and Margie McLenden, Brothers Gary (Kathy) Alexander and Roy (Marty) Alexander. Best Friend for over fifty years Terry Taylor of Hampton, Georgia.

Curtis was born August 8, 1951 in Atlanta Georgia the son of Alfred W. and Hazel Alexander. He was a truck driver in the Atlanta Georgia area for many years and last worked for Waste Management. He served his country in the United States Army. He married Maxine in 2000 and they have lived in Conesus, NY for many years.

Cynthia J. Hayes – May 27, 2009

Livonia: May 27, 2009 at age 51 years. Predeceased by mother Ruth O’Malley in 2003. Survived by children; Steven Robinson of Tennessee, Jeffrey (fiancée Angela Schultz) Hayes of Henrietta, and Michelle Hayes of Henrietta. Husband Randall S. Hayes, Step-father Pat O’Malley,Brother Michael (Char) Mills, and sister Cathy (Wes) 0’Malley-Johnston. Three grandchildren; Donald, Joseph, and Bryanna Robinson.

Cindy was born December 25, 1957 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina the daughter of Lavern J. and Ruth D. Mills. Prior to moving to the Livonia area she resided in California for many years. In the 1980’s she was an exucutive with the Hobie Company in California. Cindy loved her family and friends and had a place in her heart for animals. She was also a admirer of stained glass. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Livonia-Henrietta: Lorraine G. Stewart, 76 years. of East Lake Road Livonia, formerly of Henrietta died Monday, May 25, 2009 at her home after a short illness. She was born November 2, 1932 in VanBuren, Maine the daughter of Joseph and Alma Berube Dube. She was predeceased by her husband, James Stewart in 1993.

Lorraine was affectionatly known as “Nana” to her loving family and extended family. Surviving are her daughters, Karyn Schaap of Geneseo, Pamela (Dan) Waterman of Livonia, and Laurie Stewart of Rochester. her sons, Glenn (Lisa) Stewart of Mendon and Jon (Stephanie) Stewart of Rochester.16 grandchildren. several nieces and nephews.

Hemlock: Christopher R. Barnard, 24 years, of Main St. Hemlock, NY died suddenly Monday, May 24, 2009 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on County Road 36 in Canadice. Chris was born March 16, 1985 in Rochester the son of Peter and Linda Lembach Barnard. He was a 2004 graduate of Livonia Central School and a 2008 graduate of Syracuse University where he received his degree in mechanical engineering. He was currently employed in the construction industry. Chris also was an avid enthusiast of the demolition derby at the Hemlock Fair, where he participated annually.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his sisters Heidi Barnard of Hemlock and Jennifer Lauritzen of Gates. his nephew, Cameron Goodwin. Grandmother, Geraldine Barnard of Hemlock. Aunts and Uncles, Kenneth (Regis) Lembach of Ca., William (Gail) Lembach of FL., and Gary Lembach of Ca., Sally Lembach (Douglas McPhall) of Irondequoit, Barbara (Louis) Gerolami of Bloomfield, Nancey (Timothy) Wilbur of Shortsville, Solon (Donna) Barnard of Hemlock. Shirley Hunter – May 19, 2009

Lakeland, FL : Mrs. Shirley Hunter died May 19, 2009 at age 88 years of heart failure at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland Florida.

Mrs. Hunter was born April 6, 1921 in Aspen Pennsylvania. She had been a resident of Lakeland Florida since 1985. She retired from Crossman Arms in Bloomfield New York in 1982. She was predeceased in death by her husband, Clifford, after 67 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by two brothers.

She is survived by her five sisters, one brother, a daughter, a son, a grand-daughter and a grandson.

A graveside service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Honeoye, NY on May 30, 2009 at 11:00am. Reverend John Karle will be officiating. Shirley was a loving sister, neighbor, friend, and parent. She loved animals, people, and her family. Her hobby was gardening and could make flowers bloom and vegetables multiply with little effort. Later she got into crochet and plastic canvas, making gifts and home decorations. For many years she worked as a cook in a couple of restaurants and could put together a delicious spread at home for holiday and family gatherings. Camping became a great past time for family outings. Shirley enjoyed moving to Florida after retirement away from winter snow. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Hilda V. Ely “Grammie” – May 4, 2009

Livonia: Hilda V. “Grammie” Ely, 86 years, of East Ave. Livonia died Monday May 4, 2009 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, NY. She was born in Penfield, NY, April 13, 1923 the daughter of William and Louisa Bendshneider Busch. Hilda was President of Snow Proof Co. Inc. which she and her late husband owned and operated in earlier years. She was a member of the Livonia United Methodist Church; Livonia Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, member and former treasurer of the Western New York Post Card Club. Hilda was also very active in the Meals on Wheels Program in the Livonia area.

The family will receive friends Friday May 2008 from 1-7 PM at Hilda’s home, 8 East Ave Livonia, to enjoy Hilda’s fancy work and partake in some of her favorite tasty treats. Livonia: Scott E. McKay, 47 years of 6409 Niver Road Conesus, NY died suddenly May 1, 2009 after undergoing major surgery at Highland Hospital in Rochester. He was born May 3, 1961 in Canandaigua, NY the son of Julian and Joyce McKay Murdock. He was employed as a technician at Dorschel Automotive and at Ideal Chevrolet in Avon. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister-in-law Nadeen Walsh.
